Getting the Most Out of Your Animal Crossing Experience!

We will be contributing to this page as we think of and explore new things to do on Animal Crossing: City Folk.

Here is a list we've started so far:

Make a path!
This prevents grass from dying, turning your once green town, into an ugly desert.
If your town is a desert you can't have any snow.
(Note: More info on how to get awesome paths from Wendell later on!)
Flower it up!
A flowery town will make you love having guests over!
More bugs will appear!
The more flowers you have, the higher your chances of growing hybrid flowers are!
-(Note: Hybrid flowers are a must of you want a peacock butterfly).

Sell Foreign Fruit!
Steps for Bells Success:
1) collect foreign fruit by sending letters and present to villagers.
HOW? (Send female neighbors letters saying "How are you?" using perfect grammar, just like that. Include your native fruit, the one your town originally had. They will either send back a t-shirt or a fruit. Don't give up if it doesn't work out the first time!)
2) plant all over town.
3) wait 3-5 days for them all to grow.
4) harvest your trees!
Each foreign fruit is worth 500 bells. It is a quick and easy way to save up for that GracieGrace theme you've been dying to get, or that lighthouse/windmill that would perk up your town!

Save bells!
Come up with a rule on how many bells you're going to save, spend, and donate!
For example:
For every 1,000 bells you spend put 1,000 in your savings and donate 1,000.

Golden Tools!

The tools you find at Nook's are not the only tools in the game. :O There are golden and silver versions of each kind of tool. In this post we will be telling you about golden tools.

GOLDEN SHOVEL:

1. Buy 2 regular shovels from Nook's

2. Using one shovel, bury the other

3. Wait 12 hours

4. Dig up your now GOLDEN SHOVEL!!!

(Note: Do not sell your golden shovel because it is only worth 125 bells).

The benefit of using a golden shovel is that you can get up to 8,100 bells from the Rock of the Day!

(Note: We will make a blog post about the Rock of the Day in the near future).

GOLDEN AXE:

VERY COMPLICATED AND WILL BE REVEALED IN A SEPERATE POST!
Thank you for being so very patient. ;)

Donating to the Town Hall!

You can get the following structures built in your town by donating money to the Town Hall. We've also included the benefits of getting each one.

(Note: You will get them in order of bridge, fountain, windmill OR lighthouse).

Bridge: 200,000 bells
This will help you cross the river in three places instead of two, making strolling around town easier! You will vote on where the new bridge shall be located.

Fountain: 500,000 bells
This will allow you to get a Golden and Silver Axe. The fountain will be located in front of the Gate.
(Note: We will include how to get Golden and Silver tools later on, so stay tuned!)

Lighthouse/Windmill: 1,000,000 bells
Your town may only vote and recieve a lighthouse or windmill. Here are the perks of each:

Lighthouse: Attracts more rare fish.

Windmill: Attracts more rare bugs.

We would reccomend chosing based on how many of each you need.
Example: If you need 15 fish and 5 bugs, a lighthouse is probably a better investment, and vice-versa!

Our First Post!

Aloha! This is Nicole (left), and Lilly (right). We have been playing Animal Crossing: City Folk for almost a year. We love it so much that we're taking time out of our day to make an informative blog sharing our knowledge of the game. All of our facts have been checked by one of us, or have been verified by other sources. If you have any ideas of things we should post about, feel free to comment with your idea! Chances are, we'll love it! :)

Stay tuned for more helpful information!
